Evaluación de la infestación y Consideraciones Biológicas de la Roya de los Pinos (Cronartium Sp.) en una Plantación en Michoacán

Abstract

La incidencia de la roya de los pinos, causada por hongos del género Cronartium es muy común en las plantaciones de pinos en diversas áreas del estado de Michoacán, por lo que se considera un problema fitosanitario de suma importancia que no ha recibido la atención debida, desde que se seleccionan las plantas en el vivero hasta los cuidados permanentes en la plantación.

Por tal motivo, se realizó una evaluación preliminar del porcentaje de árboles afectados por tumores formados por el hongo, en una plantación de Pinus pseudostrobus Lindl., de 15 años de edad, localizada en las inme­diaciones de Angahuan, Michoacán, encontrándose que el 33.9° /0 del arbo­lado está en mayor o menor grado afectado por la roya.
